Review and organize work load associated with multiple Quality functions including qualification and customer FAIs, RMAs, containment and customer quality requests.

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Quality Technician (First Article Inspection) to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The key responsibilities of this Quality Technician (First Article Inspection) include, but are not limited to:

  • Review completed assembly work orders/shippers daily for Q requirements. Disposition workload accordingly to Gage Insp., Final Insp., Customer Source or Shipping.
  • Gain access to customer portals to upload customer quality documents and information.
  • Compile necessary quality related documents such as FAI reports, vendor certs and plating reports for customer orders.
  • Assure accuracy of FAI programs and records. Prioritizes them for Gage Insp. personnel to work on and assist them as necessary. Assist with FAI software enhancements. 
  • Communicate and track quality inventory to ensure swift disposition and report weekly progress.
  • Performs other work assignments and additional projects as necessary and assigned.
  • Escalate opportunities for improvement as necessary to aid in the success of the Quality department.

Salary $42,000 – $65,000

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Quality Technician (First Article Inspection) at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; post-high school technical experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Computer skills required:  Microsoft Office, ability to generate and manage data (i.e. pivot tables, sorting functions and PowerPoint experience).
  • Experience working with Engineering blueprints and MRP software packages.
  • Quick-learning individual with the ability to manage multiple priorities
