Amphenol Aerospace is currently seeking candidates for the position of Journeyman Electrician. This individual will be responsible to install, lay-out, replace, repair and maintain all factory and other power, light and communications lines and equipment. The Electrician works from blueprints, schematic diagrams and sketches to install factory and office equipment electrical systems. Assists in maintaining a parts inventory to insure a minimum of delay in getting these systems repaired and installed. Has a thorough working knowledge of factory multi-phase power systems, both medium and low voltage. Uses all tools of the trade to install these systems, i.e. cutters, benders, pullers, threaders, as well as various electrical test equipment necessary to install, replace, repair and maintain these factory electrical systems. The employee must have and demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the current national electrical code and standards.
Responsibilities include all skilled trades’ work for which he/she is qualified.
Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the United States.
Minimum 5 years experience completing high voltage electrical projects.
BOCES or other electrical technical training/education is required.
Must be able to work on an off shift (Second Shift is 3:30pm – 11:30pm, Third Shift is 11:30pm-7:00am)
