Amphenol Aerospace (AAO), a division of Amphenol, has been a leader in designing and manufacturing electrical components for the aviation and commercial airplane industry for over 85 years and is now expanding its footprint to a newly constructed site in Mesa.  This business, partnered with our long established operations and teams of subject matter experts in Sidney, NY and Nogales, Mexico, will allow us to innovate and collaborate with some of our largest customers in the western United States.

We are seeking candidates for the position of Cable Assembly Team Lead to provide direction to the team and ensure efficient production and expected performance for all areas on their shift.


           Duties & Responsibilities


  • Is the subject matter expert on all product lines

  • Is the point of contact for technical escalations

  • Assists in training new employees

  • Assists Production Supervisors with all aspects of KPI requirements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost)

  • Assists in evaluating employees and provides feedback to Management Staff

  • Fills in for Production Supervisors during their absence

  • Drives Lean & 5S culture across all product lines (coaching and mentoring)

  • Leads “in-process” quality inspections and coaches team members

  • Expedites orders


    Job Requirements


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Assembly in a manufacturing environment

  • Able to read and under job layouts, blueprints, schematics and work from written and verbal job instructions on operations

  • Technical aptitude in bending, cleaning, soldering, burring, testing, stamping, gauging etc. with minimal guidance

  • Basic AS-9100 knowledge

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Intermediate computer skills

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620; J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certification are a preferred but not required
