Logistics Supervisor – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Sidney, NY

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY. The successful candidate will report to the Logistics Manager.

The key responsibilities of this Logistics Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

  • Cost effective and efficient management of the stockroom members.
  • Helping to meet Quality Standards.
  • Responsible to manage daily production goals and efficiencies
  • Daily staffing and proper allocation of employees-manage backlog and schedule work through the department
  • Effective training of new hires
  • Track stockroom load (metrics) (ex. Transactions per person and type, completions vs. load tracking, transfer tracking)
  • Attendance and Vacation scheduling
  • Other duties as required

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Logistics Supervisor at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years warehouse/inventory experience required
  • 2+ years supervising staff preferred
  • Moderate proficiency of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong communication, problem solving, planning and execution skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and be highly organized
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, and overtime
  • Position may require extended periods of computer use, standing and walking
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing
  • Work in a fast paced environment
