Engineering Systems Administrator – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Sidney, NY

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking an Engineering Systems Administrator to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Director.

The key responsibilities of this Engineering Systems Administrator include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishes and implements an engineering systems strategy for improved efficiencies and process implementation throughout the design engineering organization.
  • Designs, develops, and tests new and/or modifies existing web based applications.
  • Benchmark new systems and system improvements and prepare cost justifications for such improvements.
  • Evaluate and install new releases of CREO & Windchill
  • Define and flow chart Engineering and Operational business processes and to assist in the development and implementation of superior processes.
  • Analyzes the technical and business requirements, including functional and non-functional requirements, to develop a systems solution.
  • Provides system software support for web applications and components.
  • Interfaces directly with software/systems suppliers, when required.
  • Responds to user requests to assist in solving system and or application problems
  • Provides Engineering support for ongoing systems development projects. 
  • Maintain and enhance the current workstations, plotters, network and software to support CREO & Windchill.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of an Engineering Systems Administrator at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, computer science or equivalent discipline and 3+ years’ experience in a systems administration or software development position, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft development tools and platforms
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CREO or equivalent) and Product Data Management (Windchill or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience with C#, JavaScript, CSS, HTML
  • Experience with .Net Framework, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core
  • Understanding of enterprise applications
  • Ability to work independently to solve problems and schedule tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience training users and creating procedural/technical documentation
