The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Training Specialist to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The key responsibilities of this Training Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing training for our employees
  • Training oversight of Apprenticeship Programs
  • Sourcing and selecting third party training when training cannot be taught internally
  • Developing and documenting all certification testing and training to meet requirements
  • Scheduling training for small and large groups
  • Working with our management team to identify training needs and how best to satisfy those needs
  • Interacting with outside agencies in the development of grant opportunities for training initiatives
  • Maintaining annual training calendar to document the schedule for planned training through the year
  • Maintain training records for internal and external audit purposes

  • Sidney, NY
  • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Training Specialist at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • Excellent project management, data collection & organizational skills
  • Ability to present to small and large groups
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to teach and engage learners
  • Good research skills to find reliable and relevant content for the learner
  • Fundamental knowledge of sciences, mathematics, statistics and engineering mechanics
  • MS Office proficiency (especially Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Experience working as a trainer or experience working in a machining based manufacturing setting
  • Equivalent education/experience will be considered
