Specifications Analyst – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Sidney, NY

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Specifications Analyst to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.  The successful candidate will provide technical support for all products and serve as liaison between customers, distributors and all internal departments regarding product applications and capabilities and report to the Tech Support Supervisor.

The key responsibilities of this Specifications Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing on technical documents and issues
  • Review customer drawing revisions for compliance with AAO documents and update systems
  • Review customer Terms and Conditions as well as quality documents involving other departments as needed to update systems
  • Review customer packaging requirements and assign or create SP’s to comply
  • Support Quality by assisting in distributor and affiliate audits
  • Support the organization when new distributors are added by coordinating tooling required, etc
  • Correspond with customers verbally and in writing
  • Provide technical field sales support
  • Action assigned service requests and system stamping issues
  • Provides basic technical training to Marketing/Sales personnel.
  • Process assigned quotes and orders 
  • Assists Supervisor as necessary with various product support functions

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Specifications Analyst at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 2-3 years experience, or equivalent accumulation of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings is a plus.
  • Travel may be required.
