Cables Assembly Team Lead – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Mesa, AZ

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Cables Assembly Team Lead to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa. The successful candidate will assist the Production Supervisor in helping provide direction to the team. The Team Lead works with the assembly staff to ensure efficient production and expected performance for all areas on their shift. 

The key responsibilities of this Cables Assembly Team Lead include, but are not limited to:

  • Is the point of contact for technical escalations (after product line team leaders)
  • Assists in training new employees
  • Assists Production Supervisors with all aspects of KPI requirements. (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost)
  • Drives Lean & 5S culture across all product lines (coaching and mentoring)
  • Leads “in-process” quality inspections and coaches team members

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Cables Assembly Team Lead at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • Minimum 5 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic AS-9100 knowledge
  • Read and understand job layouts, blueprints, schematics and work from written and verbal job instructions on operations
  • Technical aptitude in bending, cleaning, soldering, burring, testing, stamping, gauging etc. with minimal guidance
  • Subject matter expertise in primary production areas
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620; J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certification are a preferred but not required
