Provide leadership and technical expertise to identify, resolve, and eliminate quality issues and problems within an assigned manufacturing department.

The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Supplier Quality Supervisor to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The key responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct Supervisor to Supplier Quality salaried staff
  • Monitor and reduce supplier caused internal scrap and customer escapes
  • Implement Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) for poor performing suppliers
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with critical-to-business suppliers
  • Improve supplier documentation to satisfy customer requirements
  • Determine supplier flow down requirements
  • Develop supplier capability to implement continuous improvement projects and Zero-Defect initiatives
  • Technical support for hourly inspection personnel in receiving inspection
  • Organize supplier on-site audits and assessments
  • Own and enforce organization’s Quality Manual requirements specific to supplier quality
  • Travel requirements up to 50% including international locations

  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

The Person -

The key skills and qualifications of a Supplier Quality Supervisor at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical or Industrial or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years production or manufacturing technical experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with statistical data analysis
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Data3 software.
  • Ability to freely travel throughout a manufacturing floor environment. 
  • Some lifting and carrying of small loads may be required. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
