Customer Quality Engineer – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Mesa, AZ

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa. The successful candidate will provide leadership and technical expertise to identify, resolve and eliminate quality issues and problems. The primary focus of this position will be to work with various manufacturing departments in response to defective material returned from customers and initiate corrective/preventative quality actions. This position merits the opportunity to improve the organization while working with multiple functional groups such as customers/sales/process engineering/design engineering/reliability on quality issues. 

The key responsibilities of this Customer Quality Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Advocate for Continuous Improvement and Zero Defect Mission of related manufacturing and business processes  
  • Analyse and discuss quality concerns with assigned manufacturing departments 
  • Develop a technical proficiency and communicate thoroughly with customers
  • Utilize LEAN principles and Six Sigma Methodology in pursuit of the Amphenol Aerospace Zero Defect Mission
  • Complete failure analysis on customer returns, organize containment activities, and issue correct actions
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of ISO-9001, AS-9100, Amphenol’s Quality Manual, and subordinate procedures

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Customer Quality Engineer at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • Four year degree in Engineering discipline or similar
  • Must be able to travel ~25% of the time (domestic)
  • Knowledge of statistical methods
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Computer fluency including experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Some application experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (preferred)
