Amphenol Aerospace (AAO), a division of Amphenol, has been a leader in designing and manufacturing electrical components for the aviation and commercial airplane industry for over 85 years and is now expanding its footprint to a newly constructed site in Mesa.  This business, partnered with our long-established operations and teams of subject matter experts in Sidney, NY and Nogales, Mexico, will allow us to innovate and collaborate with some of our largest customers in the western United States.

We are seeking an innovative individual that demonstrates significant ingenuity in problem solving for the position of Quality Receiving Inspection.  Working with a cross-functional team, this individual will drive the design, operations, control, and optimization of our machining processes.

Duties:

  • Incoming Receiving Inspection and material certification review for assembly components.
  • Inspection and acceptance of raw materials such as metal bars and coils.
  • Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications. Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit, inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to prints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications (using microscopes, micrometers, dial calipers, gages, etc.)
  • Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information
  • Reading, interpreting, and working to blueprints, drawings, and process and design specifications.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess High School or equivalent diploma.
  • College education is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must have the ability to work on multiple projects within the same day
  • Must have the ability to follow directions, work independently and with minimal supervision 
  • Works with a flexible schedule and demonstrates effective time management

Physical Requirements:

Typical functions require maintaining a physical condition necessary for walking, sitting, or standing for prolonged periods of time.  Most time spent in these conditions is accommodated with proper human factors in mind (i.e., back-support on chairs, fatigue mats, etc.) with frequent opportunity to change position.
