Responsible for coordination of ACAD product deliveries with multiple Amphenol sister divisions to ensure customer expectations are achieved.

The Role -

Amphenol Commercial Air is seeking a Purchased Materials Specialist to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The key responsibilities of the Purchased Materials Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Interface with Amphenol sister divisions to understand their capacities for various product lines
  • Schedule and help communicate the backlog of purchased product based off capacities and customer requirements and review daily with the Planning/Operations teams
  • Conduct conference/video calls 1 to 2 times a week to review manufacturing progress
  • Work to adjust priorities based on customer feedback
  • Understand/assess daily metrics to ensure delivery schedules are on track
  • Track delivery and quality performance and drive corrective actions where needed
  • Monitor tool conditions to drive preventative maintenance actions
  • Coordinate/escalate any issues or problems that may arise during the manufacturing builds
  • Assist with new product introductions and transfer
  • 5 to 10% domestic and international travel required between operations and to customers

  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

The Person -

The key skills and qualifications of a Purchased Materials Specialist at Amphenol Commercial Air:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; adept at both oral and written communications
  • Confidentiality, being a team player, and ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of AS400 preferred
  • Software – Microsoft Office
  • The primary Amphenol divisions involved with this position are in India and China, a flexible working schedule to accommodate the various times zones will be required
  • This position can be up to 80% work from home but will include onsite (Sidney) visits as required
