The Role
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking an Assembly Process Technician to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa.
The key responsibilities of this Assembly Process Technician include, but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent knowledge of the connector assembly process for day to day manufacturing support and training of new operators.
- Provide technical support in troubleshooting, debugging, and repairing equipment to ensure that production is running at full capacity. Examples include but are not limited to: automated press equipment, specialized assembly tools, measurement and test equipment, cleaning and coating technologies.
- Be able to understand product routers and engineering drawings.
- Provide quality and technical support to internal and external customers.
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules for general tooling and equipment support.
- Programming and setup of new and existing equipment when necessary.
- Creating and submitting purchasing requisitions and appropriation requests for tooling and equipment.
- Continuous improvement, 5S, Lean Manufacturing and cost reduction activities.
- Possible travel domestic or overseas.
The Person
The key skills and qualities of an Assembly Process Technician at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
- Technical or associates degree is a plus.
- Working knowledge of engineering design, test, and processes a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as but not limited to metal machining, injection molding and electroplating are all positives but not required.
- Experience with AS/400 a plus.
- Must be able to read and understand product drawings and blue prints with general GD&T.
- Proficiency with Solid Works or Creo a plus.
- Must be able to sit stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, use a computer from 1 to 8 hours a day. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
