The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Materials Technician to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa. 

The key responsibilities of this Materials Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor, order, and mix perishable material for manufacturing operations
  • Maintain accurate cycle counts and records of daily transactions of materials
  • Drive Lean and 5S culture across responsible areas
  • Accurately mix, label, and weigh perishable items such as epoxies, adhesives, oils, RTV, and others as required by manufacturing requirements
  • Work with peers and management to facilitate and ensure timely processing of parts and materials
  • Work with all tools, gauges, hoisting, weighing equipment, and automated equipment necessary to complete tasks
  • Support preventative maintenance of equipment and report machine issues to production supervisor
  • Support management with meeting deadlines to customers as needed
  • Prepare spaces and areas to store all materials
  • Gathers hourly shipment stats and quick corrective actions to help team members reach their goals

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Materials Technician at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • High school diploma
  • Experience with hazardous shipments a plus
  • Experience with import/export materials procedure and customs regulations
  • Capable of identifying parts and materials from specifications, drawings, or instructions
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize daily actions
  • Motivated self-starter, possesses abilities to work under general supervision
  • Strict time management with self and other team members to support a productive work environment
  • Intermediate computer skills
