Amphenol Aerospace (AAO), a division of Amphenol, has been a leader in designing and manufacturing electrical components for the aviation and commercial airplane industry for over 85 years and is now expanding its footprint to a newly constructed site in Mesa.  This business, partnered with our long established operations and teams of subject matter experts in Sidney, NY and Nogales, Mexico, will allow us to innovate and collaborate with some of our largest customers in the western United States.

We are seeking an innovative individual that demonstrates significant ingenuity in problem solving for the position of Process Engineer for the Assembly Department. Working with a cross-functional team, this individual will support the manufacturing of product from Design Engineering through end user support.




  • Creating and maintaining manufacturing work instructions.

  • Releasing part numbers and bills of materials.

  • Owns the tooling and routing for products in the Assembly Department.

  • Manufacturing floor support including training.

  • Creating and submitting purchase requisitions and appropriation requests for tooling and machines.

  • Leading the department in continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.

  • Responsible for supporting New Product Introduction by developing new process and assembly methods.



  • Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline plus four years of experience or equivalent education/experience.

  • Working knowledge of engineering design, test and processes.

  • Ability to travel domestically and/or overseas as needed.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Must be able to read and understand product drawings and blue prints.




  • Experience with AS/400.

  • Technical writing, metallurgy and general assembly knowledge are preferred.

  • Experience with military specifications and/or electrical connectors.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as but not limited to metal machining, injection molding and electroplating.


    Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):


  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.

  • Use of a computer from one to eight hours per day.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
